Papillion Lodge #39

Brethren:

On behalf of the officers and myself I would like to thank all who helped with the installation. It takes a lot of work to put on an installation and everyone’s help is greatly appreciated.
As we start a new year with new officers the mission remains the same as to how we can continue to lead the lodge, make it grow by learning from our past masters and from one another. Growth has been a goal every since I joined Papillion Lodge #39 and must continue to be one of our top goals. Without bringing in new members we as a Masonic fraternity will continue to decline in numbers. Our Deputy Grand Master in one of his mailings has said membership has to be our number 1 goal to help strengthen our lodges. As new officers we will be trying to come up with ways to help bring in new members and keep them interested in the lodge.
We have a lot of tradition and knowledge in our lodge. As master I hope to continue the traditions and learn all that I can from the vast knowledge available to me from my brethren. I will be asking a lot of questions and seeking knowledge from all the experience we have in our membership. I am excited about the up coming year and look forward to serving our lodge to the best of my ability.
Fraternally, Mel Morton W.M.

BETHEL #53 JOB’S DAUGHTER’S

On October 27th, we had our Election of Officers. The HQ is Christina Bladow; Sr. Princess is Amy Kenyon; Sr. Princess is Kelsey Zimmerman and Guide is Ariel Olson. Go-to-Church was on November 2 at the Twin Creek Church. Shirley attended the Papillion Pot-Luck in the evening. The Metro Area Initiation was held on November 9 at the Scottish Rite. The officers were from the Metro Area Bethels and Fremont Bethel #15. Jennifer Lutz was the Honored Queen and Christina Bladow was the Recorder. Three girls were initiated. It is wonderful to see all of the chairs filled. That evening, Christina Bladow, Amy Kenyon and Shirley DeVasure attended Plattsmouth Bethel #24. Christina was Jr. and Sr. Custodian and Amy was Inter and Outer Guard for their initiation. Nebraska City also helped with the initiation. Ariel’s last meeting will be November 24th. Our Installation will be on Saturday, December 6th at 2 PM. All are invited. On December 12th, the Metro Area Bethels are taping a show on Miss Jean’s Story time. The girls will be singing Nearer My God to Thee and a Christmas hymn. There will be two or three girls doing Sign Language during the singing of Nearer My God to Thee. We have not been told the date that it will be aired. I know that the program comes on Sunday mornings. The girls will be helping with some of the Lodge/OES Installations in January. We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. Guardian, Shirley DeVasure at 333-5962.
