Papillion Lodge #39 A.F. and A.M.

Sir Knights,

I hope everyone is surviving our Nebraska winter this year. Unfortunately, I had to cancel our first meeting because of the weather. Our upcoming meeting (for February) will be the last Friday in January (the 29th). I’m planning a regular meeting with a meal at 6:30, catered as usual by Paula Hyland. Please bring your spouse or significant other to dinner. For this our first meeting, we will work on opening in our new roles, take care of the usual agenda items, discuss the proposed 2010 budget, and time permitting have a York Rite history vignette. I ask the line officers to review your new parts for the opening. I believe we are one of the few Commanderies that are able to do formal openings at our meetings and I want to make sure we maintain our proficiency. As for our budget, the increase rent as put us into a deficit situation. One of the agenda items will be to discuss what we will do to rectify the situation. Hope to see you all at the meeting. Lastly, if the Omaha/Sarpy county area schools close for weather conditions, we will cancel our meeting as well.
